Walk with us!

Our Annual Community Walk takes place this year on Sunday, June 2 with registration starting at 11am.  The walk will start at 12pm followed by our free BBQ lunch sponsored by Humboldt A&W.  Our route will take us on the walking trail surrounding the Humboldt Uniplex, but for a little more of a challenge you can join our ultramarathon runners and take to the beautiful wilderness trail.  This walk is a great way to meet other Type 1 families, build awareness for this disease and raise money for a cure.  You can create a team and fundraise through our Canada Helps page by clicking here, or donate to one of our teams listed on the page.  Family, friends and community are welcome to come out and show their support for this great cause!

On Sunday at 2pm, Dr. James Shapiro will be joining us live from Edmonton, Alberta.  He will be providing an update on his research into a cure for T1D.  He will also host a Q & A session for those in attendance at Jubilee Hall.  You don't want to miss out on this opportunity to hear how close he is to a cure!
